i also managed to do some Zombies vs. Cheerleaders sketchcards for 5FINITY with theFranchize during the busy holidays. as u may have guessed, i did the cheerleaders and jerry did the zombies. it actually turned out really cool lookin after all was said and done. so cool, in fact, that they used one of our double-card sets as part of the box art! how flippin sweet is that!! it's the one with the cheerleader with purple hair and blue outfit. jerry pretty much laid out all the cards. after it was all drawn in pencil, we inked our own lines and he colored pretty much all of it. i believe the company is also making a comic about these zombies and cheerleaders in which i may be involved with making a pin-up for. once that's done, i'll be sure to post again.

i'd really hate to bore u about how busy i've been at the dog kennel i work at and how i didn't have any time to even think about drawing let alone the actual act of. my two best friends had their babies and i have yet to meet them! its gotta stop somewhere. but i got a pretty good raise at work so i'm feeling better about life now. cash rules everything around me, i guess. =P
during the busy holiday months at work, i did manage to do a couple of commissioned artwork. one of which took pretty much the little spare time i did have in december. it's a big original piece that i did with my hubby Jerry "theFranchize". since the client wanted a one-of-a-kind piece done in traditional medium, we did this piece all in watercolor and inks. it was definitely a challenge since we haven't done anything in watercolor since we were in school and that's been a while. i was in charge of drawing the females (the one at the bottom is sue storm), jerry drew dr. doom and the background. we started with drawing it all in pencil, then painted over that, then inked to make the black really pop. the pictures are the (obvious) progression. the end result turned out to be really nifty. but most importantly, the client loved it so what else can i say. ^__^ what's really cool is that it went to someone in the philippines. i haven't had any fans from "the mothaland" yet so it just has a special place in my heart. enjoy!
